HOUSE IN ROXBOROUGH

Built in 1896, as a hunting lodge in a densely wooded part of Northwest Philadelphia, this is the latest renovation in a long series of transformations for this little house. When the kitchen floor and walls were discovered to be destabilized by termites, a complete gut job ensued. The design intent was to create a modern, crisply detailed and light filled space that was compatible in color and material with the traditional architecture and furnishings of the adjacent Living and Dining Rooms.
